Dear Simply Living Community,
We have an important update about our upcoming film screening of Plastic People—and while the date has shifted, we’re excited about the new location!
Originally scheduled for May 4 at Studio 35, we’ve moved the event to Sunday, May 18 at Grandview Theater, another beloved venue owned by our longtime partners at Studio 35.
Why the Change?
Studio 35 recently secured an exciting new partnership with Disney, bringing classic films back to the big screen for weekend matinees. While this means May 4th was no longer available, we’re thrilled for their success—and equally excited to host this screening at the Grandview Theater, a fantastic space in the heart of walkable Grandview.
Same Powerful Film, Same Important Conversation
The screening will still feature:
- “Plastic People”, the eye-opening documentary about microplastics and their impact on our health and ecosystems.
- A post-film discussion with local sustainability advocates and experts.
- Doors at 11:30am, film at 12:00pm.
Why Grandview?
It is our intent and hope to share the love with as many local small businesses as possible. We’ve had a desire to bring our film series to the Grandview Theater since we renewed this series. This feels like the perfect opportunity. With its cozy atmosphere and commitment to community events, it’s an ideal spot to host this film and discussion about such an urgent subject.
Mark Your Calendars!
- New date: Sunday, May 18
- Location: Grandview Theater
- Time: Doors at 11:30am, film at noon
We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your flexibility. This shift allows us to continue collaborating with Studio 35—a valued partner in our mission—while introducing our audience to another great local venue.

Where to get tickets?
Sounds like a lucky opportunity for all. Film series has been great.
I am interested in attending because one of my Earth Team Green Eco-Warriors is Plasticty and I want to learn more about the pros and cons of plastic
I’ve been looking for a new career with a sustainability/climate change non-profit and stumbled across Simply Living through The Columbus Foundation. This event immediately caught my eye, so I am adding it to my calendar and will be attending. I will also spread the word because the issue of plastics in our bodies is not talked about nearly enough these days, given its prevalence. I’d also love to talk to anyone at the event from Simply Living about careers with Simply Living or other non-profits serving a similar purpose.
I’m planning to attend
That’s great to hear!
