Join us for Gift To Be Simple — Wednesday, October 20, 5:30 p.m.

Simply Living’s annual Gift To Be Simple fundraiser will be Wednesday, October 20, at 5:30 p.m. at the Grange Insurance Audubon Center, Scioto Audubon Metro Park, 505 W. Whittier St., Columbus, OH 43215.

Meet and network with Simply Living friends and acquaintances as you enjoy delicious hors d’oeuvres in the beautiful setting of Scioto Audubon Metro Park near downtown Columbus. Walk around this spacious LEED-certified building to meet representatives from sponsoring sustainable businesses and organizations.

Then hear a presentation on “Our Story: How Simply Living has made Central Ohio more sustainable,” and meet movers and shakers from organizations we helped launch over the past 29 years. Simply Living has made a difference in the lives of so many Central Ohioans, and they will tell you about it.

Finally, hear the big plans Simply Living has for the future — our new database, the relaunch of Sustainable U, and more. You are not going to want to miss this!

Current business members and sustainers will be recognized in our GTBS program. Sponsoring businesses and individuals will receive additional benefits based on level of sponsorship. Sponsoring businesses will have the opportunity to table in the alcove leading into the main seating area in order of signups until tabling space runs out. Individual sponsors will be recognized at tables in the main seating area.

COVID-19 PROTOCOLS

Health and safety is a top priority for Simply Living. We are taking multiple steps to ensure Gift To Be Simple is as protected as possible against COVID-19.

  • Guests are asked to practice social distancing and wear masks except when eating or drinking. Masks will be available on site.
  • The event venue is quite large, with plenty of room to spread out and several outdoor patios and terraces.
  • We will open windows to the main conference room if weather permits and ask that all air flow originate from outside.

We understand that not everyone will be comfortable attending an in-person event. For that reason, we are offering a simultaneous integrated online event, with a virtual table that will allow online participants to see the presentation and interact with each other and in-person attendees. We will also ensure that online attendees get to meet representatives of sponsoring organizations.

Finally, we ask that all who attend Gift To Be Simple in person be vaccinated. Although vaccination is not the same thing as immunity, vaccinated persons are less likely to contract COVID-19 if exposed and less likely to be hospitalized if they do.

The Gift To Be Simple event and registration pages will be updated with additional safety protocols over the coming weeks.   1. The website where one purchases a ticket does not offer me a chance to access pay with credit or debit card card. It doesn’t go further than the screen before this. It says I need to enter my email address, though it shows where I entered it.
